How GDS Works

At GDS, members learn by interacting with the mentors and discussing latest topics in all of the above fields on a bi-weekly basis. Our motto is “To Learn and Develop”. The club is composed of like-minded members from different backgrounds. Club members eagerly look forward to these meetings where we learn and share ideas and strategies from the world of business and academia. Each meeting gives every member an opportunity to practice each of the following:
  • Special Talks: Speakers present cases on a wide range of topics. The topics are either chosen from the club’s educational materials or are of special interest to the speaker.
  • Group Discussions: Club members conduct group discussions on topics ranging from practical problems to hypothetical issues. With the entire group getting triggered from logical discussions, GDS forms the congregation of ideas and strategies.
  • National and International Competitions and Events: Each of the verticals has a vice president who is responsible for preparing his sub-group for participation in different competitions at national and international level.
  • Constructive Performance Evaluation: Every member is evaluated by the audience, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the presentation and offers constructive feedback for improvement, with regards to content, fluency, clarity and other intangible aspects.
